What we collect
What you send us
If you fill in the consultation form, call, text, or email us, we collect what you give us: your name, phone number, email address, the area where care is needed, who needs care, your timeframe, and anything you write in the message. People often include health details about a parent or spouse. We only need what helps us work out whether we can help.
What the website collects automatically
We use Google Analytics. It records things like the pages you visit, roughly where you are, your browser and device, and whether you arrived from a search engine or an advert. We use it to understand which pages are useful, not to identify you, and we don’t use it for advertising. Google Analytics sets cookies to do this.
Clicking a phone, text, WhatsApp, or email link on this site may be recorded as an event, so we know which pages lead to calls. WhatsApp is operated by Meta, and messages you send there are handled under Meta’s terms, not ours.
Why we hold it
- To reply to you and arrange a consultation
- To plan and provide care, if you become a client
- To keep the records a licensed Home Care Organization is required to keep
- To understand how the website is used, so we can improve it
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Who sees it
- Our staff, to respond to you and to provide care
- Netlify, which hosts this website and receives the consultation form
- Google Analytics, which reports how the site is used
- Anyone you ask us to talk to, such as a family member, a doctor, or an insurer
- Authorities, where the law requires it, including mandated reporting of suspected abuse
A word about email and text
Email and text messages are not secure. Please don’t send medical records, insurance numbers, or Social Security numbers that way. If we need documents, we will tell you a safer way to get them to us.
Home care is not covered by HIPAA in the way a doctor’s office is. We still treat what you tell us about your family as confidential.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t become care are kept while we might reasonably still be of use, and then deleted. Client records are kept until you ask us to delete them. The exception is a record the law requires us to keep for a set period, and if that applies we will tell you when you ask.
Your choices
- Ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it
- Ask us to stop contacting you. Say so once and we will stop
- Turn off analytics. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Google Analytics doesn’t load on this site at all. You can also block cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on
To ask for any of these, call (858) 380-9599 or email love@pendaseniorhomecare.com. California residents have rights over personal information under state law, and we will not treat you differently for using them.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging care. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.

If we change this policy we will change the date at the top. Questions about privacy go to the same place as everything else:
